Superstition and overwhelming religion aid second wave of Coronavirus in India

Image
I was amazed when one of my friend and former corporator of Ajmer Municipal Corporation told me that in a funeral of his relative, a covid death, dozens of relatives gathered despite they knew that the death was of Coronavirus. Moreover, I was shocked that they also performed a ritual of eating bread together to show that in the eyes of god now the whole community is together and with the mourning family. It is also shocking for me that in Bhilwara district of Rajasthan, people suffering from cold and fever were going to Tantrik (self proclaimed gods’ man) rather than to doctors. It was also awful that fake doctors are working in rural regions and treating covid patients while the country is struggling from the second wave of Covid very badly. The second wave of covid really hit hard and being as a journalist, I am working and reporting cases and deaths and funeral (which is really depressing) and reporting about oxygen to patients, about mismanagement of government and panic a

Kshitiz Gaur  Kurukshetra— Arjuna Paused----- then declined to fight--- Is there glory in a victory that kills fathers, sons, teachers and students? One of the most able warriors in the land was paralysed by emotions. Lord Krishna then reminded him of the consequences to the state and of the society. Modern days, mangers face the same situation every day. A conflict between tough decisions and between the larger good or the theory of dos and don’ts when targets remained unsolved, the conflict of to be or not to be remain and effects the confidence of individual and create restlessness and the dilemma that Arjuna faced in the battle field of Kurukshetra. At present days, the Corporate are also playing fields are much like of Kurukshetra and they can be better called as Dharam Kshetra where the role of leadership is to re-establish dharma or rule and resolve the conflicts that arise between customers and suppliers, pollution and environment, manipulative politics in the organiz

Moha Mudgara- Hindus’ Moral Science

It is taken for granted that Hindu philosophies were crude and hard and was tough for common mass to understand the meaning and concept. Certainly {philosophical acumen was tough and therefore these concepts were not spread in whole civilization. There were Gurukuls (schools) where Acharyas taught these ideas and concept to prepare better administrators, planners and managers, judges in the society. It is important to understand the difference between rishis (seers), Acharyas (professors), Sadhus (saints). Veragis (Nomadic) and Vanprasths (wanders). Seers were those who gave their lives for writing the Vedas, compiling and making Angas and philosophies and started schools on their metaphysical and epistemological concepts while professors were those who run Gurukul and prepare students according to their philosophical concepts. Saints were the people who preach humanity in society and nomadic were those who left the world and society and roam to find their own solutions while Vanpras

Hindus- God and Fear

We are human beings and we have the power to think and we all speculate inside our heart and wanted to know the meaning and purpose of our lives. We all wanted to know that why we are born in this world. We wanted to know that who made us and for what purpose we are here in this world. We all feel that there is some supreme power that is running this world and designed purposely our birth and send us on this earth. We all feel that someone is looking to us, watching us, monitoring us and he wanted us to walk on the right path shown by him. We all feel that if we fail in fulfilling his purpose or any duties it is because the supreme power or god designs this because he is testing us. And after speculating inside us we all universally together feel, sense and experience and believe that god has created this world and god has made us for a purpose. The creator is there who bring us in this world and wanted us that we do good things as he is watching us every time, every minute and kee

Idealism & Rationality - challenging in Hindus race

Without respect and education to women, No prosperous Vedic civilization of Aryans survive s Hindus mostly came out with the remarkable history of Vedic Ages. But in later Vedic ages the philosophy divided into two parts in which the first was idealism and spiritualist formation of society in which god and gods appeared and this god or gods become important in Hindu society and this god or gods are ontological argument of universe and social fabric. Smirtis like Manu, Vishnu and lot of others came out to form law for society and they divided the society into four Varnas of castes by work but later it turned by birth. Then entered Purnas that describe the roles of particular gods in evolution and why Hindus should praise these gods. There were Vishnu Purana, Brahma Purana, Shiva Purana and many others. There were also like Garur Purana that fabricated the concept of hell and heaven in Hindu society. Later epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana that laid

Mysticism of Nature and Culture

International Holy Town Pushkar -  Surrounded by hills from three sides and a place with sand dunes and lake is the mysticism of international holy town Pushkar. Pushkar is famous for cattle fair, for religion, culture and mysticism as well as for spirituality. For last odd 20 years I am covering international cattle fair and every time I feel that this place teach me new thing every time. But the most important aspect I appreciate about the Pushkar is that this Hindu abode is not attached with any superstition. The mysticism of this place is not superstition or following strict and blind fold rituals but providing culture and peace and that is the reason Pushkar is the attraction for tourists worldwide. Mysticism usually used as something related to spiritual or religion but here I am using mysticism as something that give solace.   I helped editing a coffee table book ‘Pushkar- the Hindu abode’ my friend and former chief engineer Sunil Singhal researched for long 7 years about the m

Bhangarh fort – not haunted but unexplained science

Image
Kshitiz Gaur In last so many years, I was getting videos and articles on different social media about the HAUNTED FORT in Rajasthan ‘Bhangarh’. I was curious to see this fort because the more the information about ghosts coming on social sites the more rumours I was hearing about it. I searched on Google about the Bhangarh fort and there were same stories of ghosts and haunted place. Being a student of logic and reasoning, I had the desire to witness the real ghost, ghost that is royal and still living in a fort of Rajasthan.   There were stories that whoever remained inside the fort after evening will not be found alive.   Another story emerged that a group of youths tried to remain inside the fort after evening and next morning they all were found dead on the main gate. Another story came that a group of people went inside a cellar of the found had not returned back.   The most interesting story was of the curse and that no one can construct a roof in the premises of the
