Doctrine of Four states
In Hindu philosophies there are four states State of awake-Where the Atman is perceiving and acting by the mode of the Manas (mind) with the help of Indriyas (senses) State of Dreaming- Where the Ataman ceased senses to act and help but the mind remains active.
