Sufferings and Moksha for Hindus

Image
Kshitiz Gaur I witnessed many people from west coming to India in search for spiritualism and liberation as they too start maintaining that this world is not real and full of sufferings. These peace hunters have an image of Hinduism that there is some touch stone is there in the religion of Hindus that will heal the materialistic pains with the touch of spirituality.   These searchers have an idea that Hindus have known the real meaning of life and they know how to come over sufferings. They feel that spiritualism will take them to some another world where these is only peace. For Hindus, the world is full of sufferings and therefore Hindu philosophies searched the path of liberation from this sorrowful life. Sometimes, it seems that Hindu philosophies is escaping the reality and have no courage to face the world. It is like, ignoring the realities of world just because there are pain, sorrow, hunger, illness, heartache, ageing and later death .   The Buddha too, after a...

A guest writer from Hare Krishna

Certainly, I feeling going all through the Hindu philosophies, rationality was the key factor which made this race cultural and economical rich.  One of such writer and researcher Bhumika, contacted me with her mission and I am thankful to her that she allowed to share her views and documentary. She is working on the missing link between ancient and Modern.   "Hare Krishna" Having researched the shastras for six years after leaving my corporate job, one comes across some stunning facts about the ancient knowledge and the missing link between Ancient and Modern sciences. The Ancient Civilization was a lot more advanced than our present civilization and you will be surprised to know the reason for that when you hear this video.   This is my small video wherein I have recorded seven years of my research work on the missing link between Ancient and Modern sciences in 15-20 minutes. Village without 'latch and bolt' even in 21st century

Religion means simplicity   If we take religion as simple way of life then it would certainly provide simplicity and healthy society. If again we take religion as brotherhood harmony and love of Nature that it would certainly provide easy and plain with trouble free life. But certainly we witness religion as complex and full of superstition and multifaceted intricate way of life that provide society thorny and knotty life within society.   What we generally do is that whenever we encounter something new or witness a simple culture we start framing it into religion. The problem is that we do not enjoy that culture or the basic principle of some tradition can also be very simple. We mostly connect simplicity with god or religion and made it complex but unable to understand that some customs are beautiful and they are part of Hindu ideology and the beauty is that they are scientific.   I mean a village where even in 2020 AD, there is no pakka house and the w...

When children branded with hot iron to treat pneumonia

Image
The most heinous and irrational and illogical incidents I encountered during my coverage is treatment of new born and small children through branding with hot iron. Many of the children died and many suffered.   It is not that government or hospitals are not doing anything but this is largely practised in the remote and rural villages of Bhilwara, Rajasmand, Tonk, Ajmer and Pali districts of the state. Kudiya Kalan is a village of Rajasmand district- in 2019- I got the news that a three month old girl was branded with hot iron and was later taken to Mahatma Gandhi Government hospital of Bhilwara. The child was in critical condition. The child was having symptoms of Pneumonia and parents took the child to tantric rather than to hospital.   In the year 2019 alone, I encountered 9 such cases where children were branded with hot iron to treat them in Bhilwara district.   I talked to the father of three month old girl child, Bharo lal of Kudiya Kalan village. He had his ow...

Mysticism of Nature and Culture

Image
International Holy Town Pushkar -  Surrounded by hills from three sides and a place with sand dunes and lake is the mysticism of international holy town Pushkar. Pushkar is famous for cattle fair, for religion, culture and mysticism as well as for spirituality. For last odd 20 years I am covering international cattle fair and every time I feel that this place teach me new thing every time. But the most important aspect I appreciate about the Pushkar is that this Hindu abode is not attached with any superstition. The mysticism of this place is not superstition or following strict and blind fold rituals but providing culture and peace and that is the reason Pushkar is the attraction for tourists worldwide. Mysticism usually used as something related to spiritual or religion but here I am using mysticism as something that give solace.   I helped editing a coffee table book ‘Pushkar- the Hindu abode’ my friend and former chief engineer Sunil Singhal researched for long 7 years ab...
