Moral life -5

Theory of Ashrams and Karmas

The concept of Sanskara was the major reason of moral life in which Hindus lead their life according to such codes. The Sanskaras define duties of every individual as per their age group. The four parts of Ashrams was the main reason that made people behave accordingly.

The Brahmacharya, the age of a child and adolescence, the purity and learning and getting education was the main duty of a person. The Dharma was the major essence of this life age.

The Grahsata was the family life and the duty was to support the family and respect the elders and earning the living, the dharma, kama artha was the main subject of this life age in which it was the duty of the person to support his family, respect and service his parents, grow children and earn the living as prescribed.

The Vanprasth is the age which is retiring from the responsibility and wonder for religious places in which Dharma was important.

The last stage of life was Sanyasa in which a person is freed from every responsibility and just concentrates and meditates detaching from every worldly thing like love, attachment, hate, jealousy, anger and other feelings in which only Moksha is the duty of the person.

The system was made according to the philosophical thoughts in which man has to go through the different faces of life in which the worldly pleasure in Grahsta Ashram was also included in which a person was allowed to enjoy this world with certain duties. The last stage of Moksha was so planned that it arranged the peaceful death in which no attachment remained for this world because death is the ultimate reality.

The values which were made as a part of life in the past was changed after the importance of god emerged in medieval India and importance of Bhakti erupted in common mass. The principle changed that only the blessings of god or gods can give them good results. The theory of karma went back seat in which every action has certain reaction or fruit like principle of physical science and theory that blessings of god or gods can wash all bad deeds and showers good result.

One can do any wrong deed and devote himself to god and his blessings will wash all bad deeds within some minutes. Charity which was helping the destitute changed to charity for social standing and charity to seek blessing of god or gods
