‘Free will’ to decide the path

As a student, learning philosophy really give solace to self and happiness that certainly living a life in accordance with the reasoning is the right path to complete the time. Certainly, one has to live and the concept of ‘free will’ exists when one has to decide the option or path to take decision. The free will to choose and the free will to make decisions and we are also free to act according to the will. And this free will is depends on our decision making quality. We decide according to our knowledge and according to our reasoning and when it went wrong, we accuse the principle of luck or to the god’s will. The higher the reasoning the better the decision taking quality and therefore reasoning plays a vital role in living a good life.

Philosophy helps to open the blockages of mind and also made clearance on the concepts like religion and dogmas. Philosophy also helps to understand how great people grasp the soul of world and also helps us to remove misconceptions. Just for a moment, actions in the society, detaching self from everything and certainly realizing that modification of expectations and desires, seized automatically which excite pain and sadness.

As a student, I relished the different philosophies and sometimes to make me dance on the reasons advanced to prove something. But when I went out in the world to face the reality and found that reasoning and logic are not so much important for the society and realize that something is lacking in the formation of Hindus ideology.

People do not deliberately make their lives better but they lack the real knowledge about Hindu philosophies and their culture and their religion. They practice what they found suitable and the only aim is to somehow get the blessings of almighty. Interestingly Hindu religion has no particular theological studies and the religion was so democratic that it exists since two thousand years and amendments added whenever it required changing certain theory, even at the time of Rig Veda, when many gods turned to monism of Prajapati and there are examples that some rituals adopted from Greek, Islam and Christianity.

Changes are according to the need of groups or societies and these changes created 360 Million gods and goddesses including animals like snake, monkey, rats, peacock, tiger, elephant and more others.

Certainly, going back to the history of religion of Hindus, there was no formless god, though the Vedanta worked hard on Nirakar Brahma (Formless Brahma) but it was not accepted by the society. The Brahma of Vedanta was attribute-less, colorless, shapeless, and tasteless and so have no form.

Even the Buddhist worked hard to advance on formless concept of god in Shuniyavada with the formula of Neti- neti (Not this, not this) establishing the essence of god by deducing every worldly things from the form of god. There are gods who are associated with work like Prajapati for carpentry, Rama for ruling, Hanumana for administration, Goddess Laxmi for wealth, Sarswati for education and so on. The next line in worship is the number of deities, there are millions and millions of deities standing second in row serving the purpose of helping people.

In Rajasthan of India only, there is Gogaji, Paupaji, Ramdev and many others who are symbol of treating camel, cattle, saving crops and blessing the community. The third line is the line of saints and Sufis who are standing to bless when the community found gods and deities busy and not responding.
