The problem of Hindu rationality

Philosophical though for Hindu soil is not a new thing to juggle with, we can even say that it was Hindu where we could have traces of philosophical atmosphere – to think and to touch every perspective of life. Even at present, the world knows that the Hindu spiritual treasure, a land of yogis with a very rich cultivation of spiritual philosophy.

But after so much, the land of Hindus nave no advancements, no discoveries, no inventions and not even we have any country wide reform to prove the worth for the spiritual treasurer. In a easy way, Hindu race have no new thing to advance and we only have a great satisfaction of our glorious past and no additional feather to advance, “ It result because we had neglected the materialistic aspect of Indian though and therefore we took only the existing word as unreal,” said DP Chatopadyay in Lokyata. 

 

Studying history of Hindu race proves that there is nothing to react and this race is above satisfied or it has adopted the way as it is. Mills in his Utilitarian said, “It is better to be dissatisfied man than a pig satisfied, better to a Socrates dissatisfied than a fool satisfied and if the fool and the pig is of a different opinion, it is because they have only their side of question. The other party to the comparison knows both the sides.”  

 

The international Census of United Nations had counted India in the developing country category, The World Health Organization in its report of 2000 says, “India is facing a death toll of above average mostly by communicable disease, unable to check the population, poverty and illiteracy.”

 

But originally, Hindu race took rationality as Darshan which means sight for the right view. Vedic Age had the sense of power and the philosophical schools came out to establish the nature of truth, in sense that of metaphysical and epistemological principles to make code for society and moral of life. Nature was the priority for the social and political setup for Hindi race. “The Vedas represent culture of race, of warriors, poets and philosophers who despised the art of coerce and live mostly by agriculture, they built no temple because worship Nature with simple sacrificial rites,” Havel in Aryan rule in India.  

 

History of Hindu race shows that with rise of philosophical thought, there had been raise of culture, art, economy and society. The land was futile soil where culture and society got roots in rationality, “It was only in India, with all its physical advantages and disadvantages that such a rich development of philosophical though as can watch in the six system of Indian philosophy,” Max Muller in Six System of Indian Philosophy.

The history of India shows that minds were open and therefore the materialistic opinion of life had its own place and was not neglected. History shows that the atmosphere was democratic that it freely adopt the new vision when compared with other places of historical world,  In Hindus, different opinion was also accepted if it was put with rationality, “Not only had Socrates of ancient Greece had to drink the cup of poison but even the Jesus was prosecuted,” said MN ROY in Materialism. But in India Buddha and Mahaveer who professed the enlighten and unorthodox metaphysics and different to Hindus, got the place and even their thoughts were flourished on the same soil and accepted so that they were become part of Hindu race.

 

The acceptance of other views and is the art of Hindu rationality as because this Hindu philosophy in origin was based on logic and reasoning, “The Upanishads record not only stands of rationalist, naturalist and agnostic thoughts but also out and out atheism and materialism,” MN Roy Materialism

 

Later, as the importance of Hindu literature, epics and religion increased more and more ideas were provided the state of science, medicine, religion and society. As human started civilization, there were more and more principles and laws came out in Hindu race but that too on rationality, “The Puranas form an important position of the religious literature of the Hindus and together with the dharmshastra and tantras govern their conduct and regulate their religious observances,” N Mukhopadhyaya.  

 

For Hindus, the culture was rich and they have democratic setup of life in accordance with Nature, liberal and open thoughts. There were discussions, open meetings, dialectical form of argument, dialogues acceptance and denial but at present the present Hindu race is far from its own past and they lost the charm and bliss of their own past as because they lost their own originality of rationality. The food diet changed for this race who remained alive on the diet of truth and now recipe of blind faith took the place.
